Venezuela Candle Care Instructions
Burning and maintaining candles might not be rocket science, but there are indeed certain guidelines and precautions to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience with them:

-
Candle Trimming: Trimming the wick of your candle to about 1/4 inch before each use helps prevent excessive smoke and soot, and also ensures a clean and steady burn. This step is crucial for maintaining the longevity and appearance of the candle.
-
Never Leave Unattended: It's essential never to leave a burning candle unattended. Accidents can happen, and having a lit candle in a room with no one present increases the risk of a fire hazard.
-
Candle Placement: Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable objects and drafts. If soot occurs, check for drafts, ie. doors, AC vents Etc. If the wick is more than 1/4 inch, and you are experiencing soot, cut the wick to 1/4 inch and relight.
-
Burn Time: Soy paraffin blend wax behaves similarly to other waxes. Don't burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This prevents overheating of the container and ensures a more even burn. To prevent unintentional counter or surface damage, discontinue candle use when the wax is 1/2 inch remaining at the bottom of the container.
-
First Burn: How to get a candle to burn evenly? Allow your candle to burn long enough during its first use to create a melt pool that reaches the edges of the container. This prevents tunneling and promotes an even burn for subsequent uses.
-
Extinguish Properly: Use a candle snuffer(recommended) or gently blow out the flame to extinguish the candle. Avoid blowing too hard to prevent hot wax splatter. Always handle candle containers with care when extinguishing or moving candles after use.
-
Avoid Moving: Never move a candle while it's burning or the wax is still hot. Doing so can cause spills or uneven burning.
-
Scented Candles: For scented candles, it's advisable to let the scent disperse through the room by allowing the candle to burn long enough on the first use. This enhances the fragrance experience.
-
Container Safety: If you're using a container candle, ensure the container doesn't become too hot during burning. This can pose a risk of burns or even cracking the container.
-
Keep Away from Children and Pets: Always keep candles out of reach of children and pets to avoid accidental ingestion or contact.
By following these guidelines, you can safely enjoy the warm and relaxing ambiance that
candles provide.
